All open circuit Sundstrand pumps are designed with multiple control options. Sauer Sundstrand pumps will consistently convey a volume of fluid proportional to the angle of the swashplate at any velocity of your input. Sauer Sundstrand pumps have a pressure compensator control that involuntarily regulates your hydraulic pump’s delivery to sustain volume requirements of whichever system you may be running at preordained, adjustable pressures for operation.
Such controls prevent unnecessary heat buildup in the Sauer Sundstrand pump, and stop a needless consumption of the pump’s horsepower. They allow you to efficiently supply a consistent volume of fluid when the input speed of the Sauer Sundstrand pump shaft calls for variation.
